Testimonials for Holmes Harbor

We held our annual golf tournament at Holmes Harbor Golf and Beach Club. We arrived at the pro shop to find personnel well-prepared with the carts cleaned and appropriately marked. Drew was especially accommodating in helping tournament assistants put out signs, and in getting players prepared for the tournament. Bobby Brown was very professional in getting the tournament started and providing whatever services were required.

The course was in excellent condition and the scenery was spectacular is it always is at Holmes Harbor. The fairways were mowed meticulously and the greens were cut to the appropriate length for an excellent round of golf. As a regular player of the course, I have never seen it in better condition during early August.

Beachfire Grill personnel were most accommodating in providing tables, chairs, and whatever was necessary before the tournament. They also provided just the right quality and amount of food for our lunch afterwards, and were very attentive to our needs during the entire tournament and lunch.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tournament. The only complaint was the lack of restroom facilities on the course. Generally, everyone was pleased and we expect to keep our tournament at Holmes Harbor next year.

I am head of the Holmes Harbor Ladies Club, an avid golfer, and a course resident. I have been very pleased this year with the welcome and encouragement the women golfers have received at Holmes Harbor. We more than doubled our membership, in part because of the assistance of the pro shop.

The scenery is spectacular, and I don't think anyone can match the 360-degree expanse of mountains and water views on the course. Sometimes it's distracting to hit when you're awed by the mountains, harbor, eagles, and deer.

The course has been well-maintained this year, and the greens are always in great shape. Although this is an executive course, it is challenging. The numerous water holes, narrow fairways, hills, and undulating greens cause even the best golfer to carefully consider her shot. Most are surprised at how many balls one can lose!

The pro shop has been very accommodating to our needs. We have been able to have a shotgun start on Ladies Day, which enables us to return to the clubhouse for lunch at approximately the same time. When we have our monthly tournaments, Bobby and Drew have all the carts ready with names on them, and are willing to work with us on any detail. Bobby has helped with competitive pricing to encourage ladies to return on other days with friends and family.
